Last week we celebrated Lab Appreciation Week. Our laboratory and our scientific team members are the lifeblood of our company (pun intended). During this week we showered them with catered lunches, an ice cream party and gift bags. Needless to say, we love our lab.

“This was my first year to experience lab appreciation week and it was awesome and so cool,” said Irene Steele, R&D Director Cell Biology Division. “The lab coat competition, working as a department to design a coat using this year’s theme: superheroes, instilled teamwork and was fun for the whole company. The gifts and events were not expected and it was nice to feel appreciated during the week. It was a great morale boost and has motivated our team to do more and makes us more of a family than just co-workers.”

The main laboratory, housed in our 36,000 sq/ft location in Deerfield Beach, Florida can handle hundreds of samples a day sent in from all over the US and neighboring countries . Next, the live blood samples are processed through our RoboCat II machines, built in our ISO certified, on-site, manufacturing facility. After the blood samples are processed, each graph is quality checked individually before sending to the results team.
Another way employees at CSS and PreviMedica, our sister telehealth company, can support the lab on a weekly basis is by donating our own blood for quality control checks that happen every day on every operating machine as well as donating blood to be utilized in our Research and Development department who tests for more efficient processes and verifies new antigens.
We are very proud of the work that our lab produces and the quality of that work shows in the thousands of lives that we are able to impact. Patients are taking control of their own health through our customized nutrition testing and able to achieve a stronger place of well-being.
